The Gourami is still very shy. He was playing hide and seek with me last night, soon as id turn on the light from the kitchen it would go down in the tank, turn it off and it would rise right back up. Likes to hide behind those plants and the decoration he was hiding inside thought he was stuck at one point but he likes it in there.
He's barely been in there about 36hours, not much to tell, but they swarm him he just looks at em doesn't even chase them off or anything. Appears to be a very peaceful lil guy.
I've had a couple Dwarf Gouramis in my day. It takes them about a week to a week and a half to really get comfortable in their tank. Next, after the hiding phase, you'll see him chasing his reflection up and down the glass for a few weeks. Then, he'll hang around the top of the tank, and be nice and calm.
Your new gourami won't be interested in eating until he's morecomfortable in the tank. Give him time, and he'll come around.
