My husband took these pics of his tank a few days ago, but he hasn't posted them. So I'm showing off his tank for him :)
He's got 40 watts of light over a 10 gallon tank, and the plants are doing great. It's been thriving for over 5 months. The tank sits on a bookshelf, and the lights are screwed onto the underside of the shelf above, with a panel that hides them. All DIY. He came home one day and said "I'm going to make a planted tank." And next thing I knew we have this nice little aquatic garden on the bookshelf.
I guess he is good for something....

Very nice! Is it me or the camera perspective, that shelf looks like it is bowing from the weight...?

I just read that and jumped up to check! But, no, the shelf in real life doesn't look like the picture. I didn't notice before how warped the pic makes that shelf appear--I guess it must be an odd angle? Anyway, thanks for pointing it out!
