Fungal infection on the Gourami's feeler?

I am not sure what to call them. The two long whisker things (feelers) by the Dwarfs belly. One of them is shorter and the end of it looks fuzzy? I want to wipe it off but obviously I can't.

The rest of the fish looks healthy - what is this fuzzy white thing on his whisker?

THANKS!!

i usually call them "feelers" because the gouramis use them as an extra sense organ to help them identify things and sense water vibrations. it sounds like yours has a fungal infection. its normal for one to be shorter than the other, its very easy for the feelers to get broken or bitten off, but the white fuzzy stuff sounds like a fungal infection. depending on what other fish you have in the tank, you can treat with melafix, or possibly salt (never use medication and salt together. its one or the other)

wait until someone more expirienced comes along, as they may have some better treatment options for you.

Bummer!! I only have 3 gupps in with him and yeah - it is is feelers.

Anyone else?
