Made this entertainment ctr for my mother in law. Red oak, stained and shaded, finished with catalyzed lacquer. Made specifically for her TV size. I think I made the VCR shelf a bit too tall, looks like a cavern with that lil VCR in it.

Got the solid granite top for FREE (woo hoo!). Have a friend that owns a granite/marble countertop shop and he had this piece laying around. Gotta love free!

WOW...that's a beautiful piece! Your mother in law is very lucky. What a tallent you have there. I'm very impressed. I love the granite. Very classy looking.

Hmmm, so when are you building my stand for a 175 gallon? Oh come on, I am more deserving than a mother-in-law!

Yeah, specially with that granite top....knock off that oversized VCR box and that t.v. ......and hey ! What a place for that new tank I've been looking at recently !!

Great job on the stand! Don't complain about the size of where the VCR is -- she may get something larger to keep there at some point..

Nice job! Loves her some son-in-law don't she?

Wesley I can tell you're from Texas (so am I, Alvin), lol.

Yes, you guys aren't the only one that though "tank stand" at some point. Started eyeballing my ancient old pine stand and trying to find excuses to replace it..... none yet have convinced either the wife or the budget.

That thing could hold a tank full of *lead*. It's built of 3/4 domestic plywood and it's got 6 vertical panels since there's 3 actual "cabinets" there screwed together.
