Thinking ahead - would this stocking work?

We are cycling right now but are thinking ahead to what fish we can get to work in our 15g. Would this be a good combination? Do the numbers work or would it be overstocked?

2 Mickey platies (I'd really like to have at least one of these as my little girl loves them)

4-5 Danios (this would be the minimum wouldn't it since they like to school?) My husband would like to have Neon Tetras instead as our schooling fish but I'm thinking they are too delicate for beginners?

1 Dwarf Gourami

Would this be a good mix?

Thanks,

Kelly

Sounds like a good mix to me, and you wouldn't be overstocked.
My advice would be to add the danios (4 or 5 is a good school) first, after the cycle is finished, they are the hardiest fish in your list. I would would wait at least 2 weeks before adding the other fish just to make sure everything is going well.
I would try and get 2 female platies. They're not known for aggression but if you get a male and a female, the male might harass the female.
Good luck :).

Sounds like a good mix to me. Do add the danios first. They are practically indestructable.

sounds great coudlnt change it any. and i agree with adding the danios first.

Sounds good, but I would personally bump up the platy numbers to 1M/2-4F just to cut down on aggression/harassment.
