Thinking of getting loaches, need advice!

Well with all due respect, if you are getting rid of all of your fish in a year, why get more? Isn't that just one more fish to worry about?

I'm trying to understand, but I got lost at the part of 'seeing how things go'. This fish will get big, and will need more room. I'm sorry, please take what I say with good intentions for the fish... I am just worried about him being in a small environment, especially when he will need a new home which you say you wont be able to provide. :(

I dont know, Im just trying to enjoy my fish as much as I can in the next year, and I felt like i needed a new addition, since things have been pretty stable for a while.

What I mean by "see how things go" is that I'll keep track of how fast he is growing, and if he gets too big too fast, I will donate him to a local shop before it becomes to dangerous for him.

I like Dojo loaches

I don't know about them eating algae or snails but they are fun to watch! I have to have my plants in pots too, since the 2 I have are very active. Also, it depends on the type of snails I think, some have extra hard shells like the trumpet snail that I don't think the loaches can eat?
