Thoughts on Regulator setup

filling the bubble-counter 3/4 way should be fine. I use mineral oil in mine, available in any drugstore.

Ideal 52-1-12 is the needle valve I had on my RexGrigg regulator setup. It can do down to 2 bpm. $70 and probably best needle valve under $150.

that was my response. I'm not sure what the black mesh tie wrapped to the inlet pipe is. probably to catch stray bubbles

that is definitely something to look into... for now i shall use the simple pvc version but this might be something to look at down the line.. along with the ideal needle valve

I'm sure there's some magic formula out there. That's the last part of CO2 that I didn't get around to figuring out.

Its very hard to make your own solution, I would just buy some from orlando @ greenleaf aquatics. One bottle is cheap enough and will last for ages.

i really like the drop checkers from greenleaf too.. i know they are easy enough to DIY but dangit i just love that double bubble one. i might just have to get one and the checker solution
