All my fish seem to stay in their groups regardless if I am working on the tank or not. My Tigers are fearless and will nip my hand when I stick it in the tank even with the large gravel vacuum. Maybe its the Rainbow Shark that keeps them together. I don't know. The tank is quite densely planted but the tigers like the top area of the tank where their is more swimming space. The Rosies prefer the middle and bottom area where they might feel safer and the gold barbs prefer the middle areas. The cherries like all areas of the tank predominantly the top and the shark is a bottom dwellor. I have not had any problems with maintaining schools.
