I recently got 3 albino tiger barbs from a petco, four days ago. They were fine for the first day or two but then I noticed one of them has a sunken belly. Today I noticed that the second one has developed a sunken belly. I have them in a 5.5 gallon quarantine and I added filter media to the filter from a tank that I've never had problems with. I added salt to the tank before I got the fish but nothing else. since I've had no luck with finding info I thought I'd ask here as to what it could possibly be? They eat find but have gotten less active

It could be parasites, but it's really hard to say for sure. Have you noticed any other symptoms? Like white stringy poo? Spending more time in certain areas of the tank? Anything else?

One of them spends all of his time in one corner right nextto the filter, the first one to have hisbelly sunken in is now starting to hang out in the same area

I would think internal parasites/stress, but its still hard to say. I would suggest using your return receipt to bring them back. Or if you really want you could try a parasite treatment. Praziquantal is really good for a broad range of internal parasites, but can be pricey. So, its up to you which way you go.
