2 of my tiger barbs look really thin, all H2O paramaters are fine. They are still very active but have lost a bit of their appetite. I was wondering what could cause this. They both have no visable causes. I was wondering if it could be an internal parasite? Has anyone had a simmilar experience? Or any idea what it may be?
All of my other fish look excellent and are healthy.

How long have you had them? Were they like the others and then got thin? Are they getting bullied by the others? How large is the tank?

Usually this would be a sign of some ailment, not sure what though. I have seen fish like this gradually decline and then die. If you moved them to a quarantine tank, you could try some wide spectrum antibiotics and parasite meds but this would be more expensive than the fish.

I had an albino get skinny like this and moved him to a q-tank and added some melafix and he started acting better. I had to move him back to his home tank before I was sure he was cured since a different fish came down with a worse case of sickness but he has made a 100% recovery and is actually getting bigger, faster than any of the others I have. I'd try some malafix and pimafix together. KYle
