I have a ten gal tank in our bedroom. It currently has an abundance of plants and 2 tiger barbs.

In your opinions, are there a few other fishes I could add to the tank that would play well with the barbs?

The best I can offer is don't out any long finned fish such as betta, angel, or guppy in the tank. Tiger barbs like to shred fins. I had to trade a beautiful zebra angelfish to a friend because my barb, after killing his relatives, started in on the angel and was ripping her to pieces.

I would get more tiger barbs. There are 3 varients, normal tiger striped, green, and albino... You might want to something like get two more of a different varient than you already have.

You could probably also get away with 3 cories on the bottom, preferable some of the smaller species... (I don't know what they are so you might want to check out http://www.planetcatfish.com

hey

In my tank I added some cherry barbs an albino tiger barb and
2 rosey barbs.... it is really nice barbs seem to do best with other barbs...
you could also try the green tiger barbs.
The cheey barb females are kinda orange red.. but the males look like marichino cherry color.. really bright deep red... (very pretty)
and the rosey barbs remind me of a rainbow trout.. they are silver with greensih along the middle and a pinkish slamon color on the bottom parts of them with small dots.. very nice too.
The albinos are normaly white with a muted orange color.
You can also put a chinese algea eater in there and snails... barbs wont mess with either.

mixing barbs will give you alot more color in your tank.
