Tiger Barbs - HELP!!!

I have in my tank 6 Green Tiger Barbs, and 6 Bronze Corys. I knew the Barbs would be nippy because I tried to learn as much about them as possible before purchase. I really like them because of their character, but they are really very hostile towards my corys. All my corys have fin damage now, and one refuses to come out of hiding. Theres no way I can keep them in the tank together, what can I do? I have them seperated at the moment in a very large net, but I obviously cant keep them like that for long. HELP!

I dont know if my lfs will take fish back. I'll have to make sure they do. If anything goes back it will be the barbs.
 
Some LFSs wont refund or credit, but they will still take them.
Even if your LFS doesn't take them, another one probably will.
I wouldn't expect any credit or refunds though.
 
I dont care, even though I really like the tiger barbs, they cant stay in the same tank as the corys and I dont have space for another tank right now. Any suggestions for a good, but friendly replacement?

I have heard great things about the personality of chery barbs. If you are looking for a personable, schooling fish, look into cherries. They are not nearly as aggressive as their Tiger cousins.
 
For other barbs, I will endorse both Cherry Barbs and Rosy Barbs.

Rosy Barbs: LINK
These are great fish that will get about 2 inches. They usually school and are quite peaceful. They are a nice golden metallic read color. Long-fin varieties are available. I have even had them spawn in my tanks. Males are a little darker red.

Cherry Barbs: LINK
Also very nice fish, but small (up to about 1 inch). Very peaceful. Males are cherry red, while females are reddish-brown. I have 3 in my little tank at work. I recommend keeping them in a ratio of 1 male to 2 females.

Other nice somewhat similar fish would be any danios or harlequin rasboras.
 
I'm with Harlock and Theop - Cherry or Rosy barbs are the way to go, and/or some nice little tetras. The rosy barbs are really beautiful - especially the longfin type. Males are bright reddish orange and females are brassy gold.

For tetras - the serpae or bleeding hearts are really pretty.

I love my tigers, but the only reason I think I am able to keep them in the same tank with some cories is bcuz I also have the tinfoils - and the tigers are too busy staying away from them to bother the cories!
 
After doing my research I decided on Ram Cichlids. I have one pair (the last 2 my lfs had) which will be joined my another pair when their next shipment arrives next week. I'm just acclimatising them now.
