So I am having issues with my barbs and my neons. There are two barbs that are always hiding in the rock crevasses and another two that will chase part of the school of neons. They leave the zebra's alone, however. I have had the barbs for three days and got the neon's today. My plan was to get cardinal's, but the LFS said they require a more acidic (low PH) water, like distilled so I was lead to the neons instead.

So If I do "need" to get rid of my tiger's (which I don't want to), I think this would work, right?...

Neons
Zebras
Panda Cory
Dwarf neon rainbow
BN Pleco
Platy
Swordtail
Molly
Bolivian Ram

Any suggestions? :help:

Thank you

Your mollies and swordtails won't like the acidic water you are thinking of having. The rest are fine though.

I don't have acidic water, my PH is 7.x. I was saying that the cardinals that I dont have but was going to buy need acidic, which is why I was referred to another type of tetra.

add two more barbs, they seem to do better in groups of six, what you have happening, is that the barbs paired off, and now, are ruling the tank, ..If you move the crevice, add the other two, right after rearranging the tank, it should allow them to regroup, so to speak.

That is MHO, but I breed cherry barbs, and while i don't find them quite as aggressive as tigers, the same principal should apply

tigers rn't good community tank fish, so can try judgemax suggestion, might work, might not, or just find a new home for them and go with some of the more community fish others have suggested

i agree with judgemax more barbs they like to pester each other i have 14 neons and my barbs never bother them
