Ok for the people that know i am also working on a Vivarium with styrofoam background, and landscapeing. I wont be finishing that up because i am waiting for my girlfriend to get better from her surgury so we can finish it up togeather.

And for the people that dont.

I used all the styrofoam i needed for the project, and have 3 24x24 Styrofoam sheets.

And i will be useing those sheets to build a Quarantine/Fry tank that will fit in my closet.

Ok, now heres the ghetto blueprints i made up.

The tank will have 2 compartments, 1 is the main tank - 2 is the powerhead powerd filter compartment.

I am using a AC10 Powerhead to work like a regular HOB style filter. The power head will suck water in, and fill the compartment with water till it reaches the spill point. From studying regular HOB filters, i used there designs. And the filtermedia i will be using is a 2mm thick sponge (i get a 10pack of 12x6 2mm sponges for only $1 at the LAS (Local Asian Store  ) I use this sponge in all my filters so i trust it, and once your done with it, just throw it away and cut another one up to fit your filter.

Well everything else should be explained in the blueprints.

Sorry i dont have my camera with me, but i will try to get it b4 i start my project so i can show you guys and gals the steps. Give me 2weeks MAX

Any ideas that could make this tank even better post away.

Thanks

Will the ghetto Tank have a Ghetto theme, maybe a little matchbox jallopy?

Do you think the styrofoam will hold up to the weight/pressure of the water. Will the sides bow.
