No Where Kansas
Well the past 3 times I've went to petland I have been offered a job in the fish dept. I think it would pay $7 and some change maybe, quite a bit for me a 17 year old.

Also It would help support my mts, being as i would get a %15 discount on COST YEAH THATS RIGHT COST and even more if i take it directly out of my paycheck.

What do you think?

I think you'll never take home any money! LOL

Lol me either, well maybe i am probably one of the most frugal teenagers ever.

Think it would be a good job for a first job? Its something I know too so I wouldnt have much to learn.

Everyone has to start somewhere :)

I think it would be a good idea. As hard as economical times are, if you find a job oppurtunity you just might want to take it.

^^i agree. if you find out that you don't want to work there anymore you can always quit working there, but if you don't take it you'll never know :D

Unless people are lining up offering you a job there is no there is no other reason to turn it down. Once you get a job of that fashion and decide it's not a good fit, take your time and find a new job BEFORE quitting this one. As Blueiz said there may be many applicants out there competing for few jobs. To be fair, you need to stay in a job at least 6 months. It takes you 3 to learn the ropes and 3 to adjust. If this is your first job, be aware that how you discipline yourself for the first job is likely how you will be for the rest of your working career. Do it right or not at all.

Yeah, i plan on owning my own buisness someday (Custom Diesel shop) so I plan on working hard and if I enjoy it I do work hard so I think I should do fine. I think I might put in my name even though I can't start until I get my college classes all sorted out.

take it from a guy who has spent the last 4 months looking for a job (and an experienced diesel mechanic with no work) that you should TAKE this opportunity and run with it.

I agree, go for it!
