$18.80 is the actual minimum cost of shipping the package via USPS Express. The cost will be printed right on the label. I don't make any money off of shipping like most other sellers. I don't even charge for insulated boxes or the cost of shipping supplies so really I am losing money on shipping. Check my feedback and see what other customers have to say. I now also have it set up to accept best offers on each individual snail. Shipping is $18.80 no matter how many snails you purchase. Next day shipping is the only authorized shipping method allowed by eBay for live animals. If you purchase snails and you are paying less for shipping they will likely be shipped with Priority. I used to ship priority but got tired of having eBay suspend my account every other week. I guarantee alive arrival and have never had any problems with snails arriving dead. I also sell on eBay and Express Mail is that much. It seems odd to some, selling something so tiny and paying shipping that "high" but for it to arrive the next day- that is the actual cost. Shipping supplies are a lot as well, and like Mr. SnailZ wrote, he isn't charging for those (which would be allowed by eBay).
