Too Good to be true light?

I pmed you back, I hope it was not to late. I use the jebo lighting, and I think they are fine. The lights themselves do not put out a lot of heat, but he ballast in the fixtures get smoking hot. My goal is to one day fix mine so the ballast are remotely located "meaning not in the fixture" The fixtures do put off heat as a unit, but I do not feel like it is enough to concern yourself with as long as you do not set the fixtures right on top of the tank. I have mine suspended from the ceiling, about 10 inches from the top of the tank

I also bought the $99 ebay special PC hood. The hood does get hot; but you can still touch it. I have my thermometer set for 80 degrees and it still kicks in when the lights have been on (all 4 55w bulbs) for 7 hours; so they don't throw out too much heat for the size.. My hood sits on the top of the aquarium; so it's like 1" to the water and there is no huge temp spike.

Also; can someone post the link to the legs? I couldn't find them when I ordered mine...

Thanks all;

sorry for the misinformation, the legs i saw were for a different fixtures. i contacted jebo and they don't make legs for this fixtures.

i bought the Aqualight 48 Inch Compact Lighting 260w, with legs. it comes with (2) 65 watt actinics and (2) 10k for $205 with shipping. still considerably less than the MH fixtures. this gives me 3.7 watts per gallon. hopefully enough or you'll see it back on ebay soon!

Hey, I got the jebo setup for my 20 gal tank. They don't affect tank temp. My evaporation is a bit high, but the lights are only 3.5 inches off the top. I built a new hood, and just put extensions to hold the lights. That way you can take the lights off the tank for water changes and adding / moving inhabitants and rock. They're cheap and provide plenty of light for my condilactis. Plus, the other option is to use lights that cost over twice as much. Good lighting for the price I say!
