Too Many Bubbles!

Hello, sorry for such an odd question, but here goes.....

Bubble bar (long green one) wasn't putting out hardly any bubbles, so we thought we were smart and hooked it up to two small pumps. ( had an extra laying around ). Viola! LOTS of bubbles. Too many, in fact. So I unhooked one pump......to no avail. The pump is not adjustable. Is there a thingy or doo-hicky that I can purchase to put in the line to turn the air pressure down?
 
you sure can. You're looking for an air flow adjuster (like a gang valve) or an air control valve. Both are just simple contraptions with a dial you turn to allow you to reduce air flow through the bubbler.

The second one is a cheapo plastic valve that comes in a kit (with suction cups and tees). It's the one with a little dial on the top of it. It works fine, and is very inexpensive.
 
Not to show how cheap I am, but I will use small binder clips, bobbie-pins, chip clips to clamp airhoses to adjust airflow. I guess I just like the DIY and like to save my money for fish and plants!!

lol, that works, but these valves are pretty cheep. I can find them at petsmart for next to nothing. I run a bubbler at night to adjust for lack of CO2 uptake from my plants. I use a little valve to adjust air-flo as needed, works great.

Not being cheap at all! It shows your ingenuity :) I'm constantly impressed by DIY solutions in this hobby
 
Thanks for the input. I did find an adjustable valve and it works quite nicely. The fish sure were curious why their amuzement park ride was turned down. lol

It cracks me up when they ride the bubbles!
