I just got a Marineland hood for my 10 gallon. The pump that comes with it is 150 gal/hour, the outflow is pretty harsh. I've pointed the outspout against the glass to help but one corner is getting hit hard (my sand is all but removed from that corner). Any ideas on what I can do to solve this?

If its turned all the way down and still too powerful, try putting a piece of sponge filter in the intake (just make sure it won't get sucked into the motor). I just did this on my betta tank.
There is no way to truly regulate the flow on an Eclipse Hood.
you might see if you can slow it down at the intake with a prefilter, but that's about it.
