Topfin 125G Build, PetSmart BF Deal

Feeling the layout out some. Will continue making adjustments. The drift wood keeps drifting, so may be awhile before I can get it final.

Setup looks great! Cute kid. I'm not real big on very white/light substrates. Turns brown/green pretty quickly. Been down that road before. Those doors are totally hand made? WOW!

Thanks. I like the sand look when it's clean lol. Isn't too hard to keep it clean. I think it makes for alot more surface area for bacterias to form on to as well.
Yup, made from scratch doors. That's why I wanted him to do them lol.

Awesome deal and project! Love Pictus cats. Great job on the stand and your dad does great work too! I love watching these threads but I missed so much already. lol

I stink at aquascaping but I'm gonna throw my 2 cents out there anyways. :) I know you said you were still working on it so for future use... The 3 rock formations are similar in size and spaced almost exactly even across the tank. Even just un-centering the middle rock could help, center and symmetry are bad in aquascaping. Then the 2 logs are again similar size and both laying fairly horizontal. Just tilting the one on the right, that is already slightly tilted, some more would break it up more.

Still considering plants? Any ideas on what other fish you want?

Stand is awesome! I agree with myswtsins, that rock in the dead center is bugging me. As for plants, maybe just some java fern attached to wood to soften the look?

Thanks everyone. Yeah, it's way to centered looking. The rocks are currently wedging the pieces of wood together so I can weigh both pieces down.
As for plants, I have lots of research to do. I'm not going high tech for sure. I think the only plant I want in substrate is a tall background plant. The other plants I hope will grow onto the drift wood.
