Transfer plants to another tank

My plants in my 55 gallon tank are doing great. What is the best way to move a few of my 55 gal plants to my 38 gallon and having the same success?

Simply take some trimmings and replant.
Treat the 38gal like your 55gal. = same success.

there is many factors but what like ford said try to set it up as close as the 55 and should get about the same luck.

I didn't give you enough information. My 55 gallon tank has a 20k bulb no CO2and is doing well like I said: my 38 gal tank has a 18k bulb but the plants I put in it aren't doing so well makes me wonder if the new plants will do any better? I guess I will find out.

prob needs more light. its not always the k of the bulb that matters.
