:wall:Hello Everyone,
I read up on some sticky notes. Looks like I made a bad call with my crushed coral substrate. I am about ready for my first fish(cycled with live rock) and figure now is the time for any back pedaling. My question is if any one has tried the black sand? Are their any reasons not to use it in a FOWLR set up? I am intrigued by the novelty! Tropic Isle Tahitian Moon Sand is what I am looking at. I was thinking 60 lbs in a 55 gallon tank with 45 lbs of live rock.
Your opinions are appreciated.

I have it in two of my tanks looks awesome when its first put in but shows EVERYTHING, Im constantly either picking up an empty snail shell that my tang carries and drops at will or poking other things into the sand with my finger. One of my tanks has had black sand for several years and I occassionaly add some new sand in a very thin layer over the old in parts of the tank. This sand looks stuning with liverock tho IMO...

Funny you mentioned that Cheech I am sooooooooooooooo thinking of going that route very soon by slowly adding in white sand to my 110Gand mixing it in or maybe even creating white areas within the black not sure yet lol...
