I just put together a 180 gallon aquarium All glass brand.(72x24x24), i did some custom plumbing and got a great deal on the stand. and the thing is ready to go. except for one thing. I forgot to get a top cover for it. so i have been searching the web for one and i cant find one at a reasonable price. (most canopies ive spotted were in the $600 range). I don't want to spend that much just on a canopy. so i figure the next best thing would be just a glass cover, and i could probably make a canopy in the later future. but anybody have a place online where i could find a glass cover top for my aquarium.

The cheapest route would be to make one as long as you are handy with tools. Go to the DIY section and there are plenty of threads that show how to make one. We bought a canopy about 13 years ago for 125 gallon and it was about $400 but it was solid oak and not pine stained oak.

He's one place that has a canopy fair cheap although I don't see a picture of it, I'm sure that you can e-mail them. http://www.theculturedreef.com/canopy.htm

Also this place has a canopy for 180 for $399. http://www.bigappleherp.com/Big-Apple-Oak-Canopys

DO you really need a canopy?? If you do not want, or will not have, plants then there really is no NEED. The canopy will just be for looks.
