Yes, unlikely. But which seems a more accurate depiction to you?

About the same as:

1- winning $1000+ from a lottery scratcher
OR
2- winning the Mega Millions jackpot of $1,000,000+

Actually they have a lot of wild caught fish. Some fish are still cheaper to capture wild than raise them in captivity.

Rubber nose plecos, African butterfly fish, Geophagus surinamensis (not really Surinamensis, but that's what they call them), and silver dollars are just a few that I have seen at Petsmart which I know are wild caught.

It just depends on what you are looking at.

Just walk over to the ghost shrimp and/or feeder fish tanks (other then goldfish). Anything that doesn't fit the category is a truly wild caught fish.

Aren't most tetras wild caught? I remember a friend telling me once you have a shipment set up it costs just pennies to add additional fish such as cardinal tetras.

Actually a lot of tetras are farm raised in Florida and Singapore. It used to be that Cardinal tetras were once exclusively shipped from Brazil but that is not the case much anymore. Florida raised cardinals are just as affordable and much healthier than the wild caught ones.

But I bet some of the newer tetras are probably still wild caught. I bought some Panda tetras at Petsmart a few months back and I guarantee they were wild caught. Kitty tetras and some of the other low volume species are probably too.
