Truth about neons and angels.

Yup, if it fits in the angel's mouth it's food. I occasionaly drop guppies into my tank when culling my son's tank. (Of course that's when he's not home.) The angels and the butterfly like the treats. Of course the angel's mouth is relatively small, but why chance it? There are plenty of other choices that are bigger than the neons/cardinals.
 
lol my angel is odd i think, i raised it with my neons, and it has never touched them! (been with neons for about 1.5years)

maybe somethin to do with the type of angel??? mines a black lace... or somethin like that

Lobo...I just love that picture. I've seen it on a few threads and it always cracks me up. His gill slit and little fins behind it make it look like he is grinning from ear to ear.

As to the neons with angels....we've had several partial groups of neons as well as a bunch of angels returned at work because the angels were eating the neons. I want to tell people if they'd listened in the first place... Ah well, you might get lucky though, maybe your angel will be a vegan LOL!
 
I got like....8-11 cardinal tetras in a 40G with 3 angels. The angels are actually pretty small, about 2-3 inches including fins and they've gotten along just fine. Remember, If a fish's mouth is as big as another fish's body, you've screwed up big time.
