Ever since I first saw them, I've been curious about these 360° LED bulbs they call "corn lights" and how they would look over an aquarium. You can see why they are called corn lights, take a look:

I ordered two 7 watt bulbs, came to $10.50 including shipping - not bad! Way cheaper than LED bulbs from the hardware store, and I don't think those will really work unless they were pointing vertically at a tank (such as from a clip on desk lamp). I haven't seen "corn lights" anywhere except online.

They're shipping from Hong Kong so I don't expect them to get here for a couple of weeks, but I'll let you all know how they look! Here's the eBay listing, if anyone's interested:

They look like they'd cost about 100 bucks lol

Interesting!!! I'll keep my eye out for your update on how they look.

Just clicked on the link. I hope you know it's 220V, not 120V.

Wow, nope! I sure didn't....lol. Ok, not much money to be out of - I imagine there is some kind of converter I can use? Find it at Lowe's maybe? I just looked at the E27 base and nothing else...ugh.

It's probably not waterproof, that does look like a gap to me. I was planning on using it on a tank with a hood so it wouldn't be in any contact with the water. I HAD thought of that scenario, didn't notice the 220V thing though :(
