I hate going to the LFS and finding that they don't have any live tubeflex worms. How can I start a culture going so I don't have to keep spending $1.37 every week to feed my fish?

what kind of fish are you feeding? how many worms do you get for 1.37? farming tubifex worms requires their own setup which won't pay itself off in any less than 2 years.

and tubifex worms are not the same as blood worms. if you're worried about cost, you could always go with frozen/dry tubifex worms or bloodworms.

I've actually got Bumblebee Gobies, and they don't like the frozen pellets. =\ They won't eat them.

A Buck Thirty-Seven gets me an ounce of Tubefex worms. They won't stay alive more than 2-3 days in the bag, so I have to go to the store 2-3 times a week, depending on who needs food when (I have a crawdad, crabs, and shrimp that also eat the worms).

If not a culture, an easier way to keep the buggers alive longer than 2-3 days.

BBG's are fussy eaters and will not readily accept commercial foods. Give the frozen bloodworms a try or hatch some baby brine shrimps.
