I seem to have tumor like growths on several fish. 220 gal community tank. ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 80. There have been some issues with ammonia and nitrite spikes in recent history.

I have quarantined affected fish but would like to know what is infecting them, or if it is a benign growth.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

They look a bit more like cysts than true tumors--usually tumors are smoother, without the bloody appearance. How quickly did they appear? If it was fast, they're probably a bacterial infection--possibly from a nematode infection. Check http://badmanstropicalfish.com for treatment ideas.

Are those the water conditions in the quarantine tank or the tank you took them out of? The nitrate is a bit high, but if you were having ammo spikes that would explain it. I would suggest a water change though.

I do agree that they look more like cysts, though I'm not sure what would have caused it. . . I would suggest starting with increased water changes and see how they look in a few days.
