Tunze Skimmer

Does anyone have one of these and how do they like it.
I can get a used one for $150 bucks canadian from a guy that works at an LFS. He says it is the middle of the line for Tunze. I havent seen it yet so I cannot even check online which one it is.

Do skimmers wear out?

It would be for either a 55g or 75 g tank.

I don't have any personal experience with Tunze skimmers, but I can tell you that they make great powerheads...expensive, but great.

Find out the model number of the skimmer though - some of their older skimmers had a reputation for being a little temperamental. However, if it's one of their more recent models, it's probably worth a look. Any chance this fellow would let you try the skimmer out on your tank before you buy it?

Skimmers as a whole don't wear out. The moving parts in the pump(s), however, will wear out over time.
