Had turbo snails about a week half now tryed to put them off as long as i could due to personal chocie but now i have them i think there great a real 10 of 10 on the cleaning of my glass etc but cause for concern a little i have a fixed lid on my tank witch is the filter&light`s but every so often a snail will slither up the side of the filter pipe are glass to the very top then go out of the water on the bottom of my fixed lid is this normal for these snail to slither there way out of water? what should i do knock them back in are just leave em to it ? CRAZY

Yup, mine do the smae thing. They climb the overflow box and go on to the glass lid on top of my tank. I just take them down and drop them back into the water.

Cartman, how do you keep the niger from killing your snails. I started with about 5 astrea (I think that is right), an emerald crab, and a peppermint shrimp. All but one snail have fallen to either my picasso or my tusk fish. I keep a vigilant eye on that last snail and often have to pick him up after the trigger carries it around the tank. The tusk will pick it up and beat it against the live rock. I guess you have a soft tempered fish. Oh, and my snail likes to climb up to the waters edge as well. That is usually when trigger gets him.

lol. My trigger doesn't harm or go after anything in the tank. It just swims around and looks at the algae on the glass. I also have a starfish and lionfish and people have told me that the trigger will pick at them. Hasn't happened once. He won't even go by the shark lol. The starfish is the one that will get the snails.
