It's an African sideneck. Pretty fun little guys. Here's a good care sheet on them.

It'll be important to get a good size tank, heat source and a uv basking lamp as well as food with good nutritional value. Depending on its previous life it may not take well to prepared goods and you may have to wean him on to it. Earthworms are a good way to do this. But whatever you do, do not feed goldfish.
