Type of bulb for refugium?

My light fixture for my refugium takes an 18" 15w flourescent. What type of bulb should I put in there to maximize macro algae growth?

go to the hardware store (home depot, lowes, or the like) and get a plant growth bulb. the color temp is around 6500k or so and they work wonders for macro. HTH

From what i have used i can honestly say algae grows under pretty much any colour of light, so it doesn't really matter. If you have cauperla, they are normally so fast growing that the light colour doesn't really matter.
