Hey all,

I am setting up a 10 gallon planted shrimp tank in my classroom. I will be using some basic stock lighting, no Co2, no ferts, probably a sponge filter, black gravel.

I was thinking fake plants might be the way to go, but if you can recommend some ultra low maintenance live plants that would jive with cherry shrimp I'd go for it.

Definitely for shrimp.....mosses (java, pelia, Taiwan, xmas, etc), guppy grass (najas), riccia, anacharis, wisteria, watersprite. There are tons of options out there! I use these in my 10 with red cherry shrimp and endlers. You can look into nice 6" pieces of cholla wood as well.
