Just out of curiosity, whats the dying process like?

It depends on the method used but often they are injected with the dye with a needle.

Other ways include feeding dyed food for a temporary tint or dipping the fish into a corrosive bath then into a dye.

i think i read somewhere its like a fishy aids right?
its from the use of needles to dye them
kinda like getting aids from a heroin needle

Yea, what they put those fish though is terrible. But, the good news is that you have it now and can make the rest of it's life comfortable.

I'm sorry, but how on earth is a fish being injected with dye like getting aids from a heroin needle? Care to explain your simile? Just that they both can kill you? I think a pretty big difference is for one, people choose to use drugs and put themselves at risk, the fish do not have a choice in the matter.

that said.. Viruses (for the most part) are non treatable and un curable. they need to run their course.

any treatment used basically is used to treat possible secondary problems.

lymphocytis is not given to the fish via the needle.. it can affect fish that have never been dyed.

blueiz, aids is not just a human disease. it is known to affect other mammals possibly a different form but non the less called aids.

I am against dying fish.there are so many lovely colour fish that u can get instead of dying them
