Hi again! This is an update on the betta I'm still babysitting. Thanks to everyone who helped me out with Buddy's initial fin rot issues. I'm happy to say that his tail fin looks much better and is growing back in nicely, as are his lower fins.
However, he's got something funky going on with his dorsal fin. As you can see in the pics, part of it turned very white, almost clear. It's been like that for several days. Now, it was very ragged before this happened, so I'm hoping that this white business is just the color of new growth. But I'm worried that it's something bad. Here are the pics:
Here's one of Buddy before the fin turned white, when it was just ragged:
I'm feeling pretty bad, because this is my friend's fish. The fin rot was there when I got him, but the white fin happened while he was under my care, so I really don't want to return to her a sicker fish than what she dropped off. All advice is appreciated.
Edit: Sorry, I just noticed that the pics make Buddy look like he is floating in a tank with a cactus, a coffee cup, a bottle of ketchup, and a man on a computer
I promise, only the driftwood and anubias are actually inside the tank.
