Seem to be doing well. I don't see much of them. I have a cave in there I took from my plecos' tank and seems like they both hide in there most of the time. I recall my elder synos being being shy as babies...so nothing surprising here. They come out for a few minutes when I drop in sinking pellets and that's it. Not sure how they know I'm dropping in pellets since they are usually hiding out of sight, good sense of smell I guess.
Yep...and they are almost as big as the seniors by now. Except one has a gill problem that happened when I got into a car accident and has unfortunately gotten worse.
I WOULD LOVE to know more !! so did you just put 2 together , or did you know' how to sex them and pick a pair ? Do they just mate, or do thye have to pick a mate ? I have one, it is only about 2" I was hoping it would stay small & nice, BUT I am reading that they can get up to 5" and they get mean ' , DO you see this in yours at all ? These are really pretty catfish . I LOVE mine, just not the fact that he may get mean and hurt my other fishys in the tank . I havent seen' any aggresion, But again its still young, and stays behing his wood most of the time. The tails are SO awesome ! I actually paid $8.99 for mine ! I seen it, and HAD to have one. No research or nothing , and thats somthing I would Never do !! lol ~ but this fish is well worth whatever I need to do to make him happy in a tank TELL more abotu the breeding >>?????
