Since my thread was closed, and I did not feel like PMing every person who posted with interest, I will update.
He was caught the day after I posted, I kept up with him at the vets office, they ran some tests and so far he has come up negative for disease, he has upper respiratory infection and a very early case of conjunctivitis. He is in a temporary home with the lady who fed and vetted him. The swelling in his legs came from infected bites and scratches.
He is not the best patient, and has attacked, and tried to, several times. Giving his shots was like trying to hug a rabid tiger... lol
It's only been a couple of days, but he is doing better, his eyes are clear of any mucus, he is breathing easier, and his cuts are clean and working on healing.
Don't know if he will be kept outdoors, since he sticks around the lady's road anyway, because of his aggression problem.
If this gets closed because the facts aren't right, I'm terribly sorry, but I thought anyone concerned may like to hear that this boy didn't die.
