Updated discus pics

Thanks Bob. It took a while but I believe I've just about got it balanced now. You can see what's left of my bba outbreak on the plants. The snails have just about cleaned up what was left.
clayt101 are you keeping discus in your 125?

125 is a planted discus tank. I used to live in Houston as well.
2 Wilds (Fish Ranch 2 in Houston)
2 Leopards (Fish R Us in Houston) - (1 is very slow growing)
2 Gold Melons (Discus Dan in Houston)
1 Blue Diamond (slow growing)
2 Red Turqs (1 slow growing)
2 Scribbled Reds
Tomorrow I get 2 4+ inch Red Melons, 1 3+ inch Blue Diamond
I also have 4 simese algae eaters (4 more tomorrow), 6 L-134 (my favorites), 1 albino bushynose, a school of cardinal tetras, and a betta in there.
I use a sump filter, and change 50% of the water a week. I may have to take it apart and completly sanitize it because I am having a battle with ram horn snails. The snails are eating my plants...(I offset the cost of the aquarium by suppling a LFS with plants, not much, but about $40/month in store credit).

your tank looks great....and the discus do too....it makes me jealous...my discus tank doesnt look nearly that good
Nice lookin' fish, clayt101. Your plants look very healthy too. Good job.
cichlidkeeper91, discus are not too hard to keep. They like their water clean so require a little more maintenance than some ciclids. Juvenile discus don't have to have soft water. In fact, they grow better in higher TDS water. When breeding, they need softer water so the eggs can mature.
