Hey folks.
I am wanting to add more light to my 55 gal. Currently it is a 48" single fluorescent fixture. Should I refit it with cfl's or just but a 48" double fluorescent fixture at lowes or home depot? My idea is to get up to 1.5-2.0 wpg on this tank. I have an all glass top so width of the fixture is not a big issue.
My tank is a new setup for me so I dont know exactly how the plants(java moss, java fern, and pennywort) will do in this tank. The java moss and java fern did come out of a tank (now torn down)with 1 wpg. The pennywort came out of a tank 2 wpg. All plants in old tanks did well. I also want to add some more plants, but havent decided on what yet. That will come after I settle in on lighting.
