upgraded fish tanks

If you want to add "salt" for your africans, I would suggest getting the salts that are from the lakes over there, not instant ocean.

Nice tanks, but looks like you are ready for some upgrades.

Agreed, If you want and need to (if your tap is very hard and alkaline you may not need any extra salt) definitely use a cichlid lake salt, not 'aquarium salt' or marine salt. I use Seachem's Cichlid Lake Salt. And dose according to the package according to the lake you are keeping.

Brackish is different than adding a little salt.

What pH are you keeping your Tanganyikans at?

frontosa's in a 10g?? lol wow i didnt want to put one in a 55g thinking it would be too small for it but hey setting new records lol

Tanks look nice but seriously suggest you thin out about 50-75% of fish from each tank.

:iagree: Frontosa in a10G?!?!!? :eek3:

Yes, overstocking is more than just water changes. Although water changes greatly affect maximum bioload, there is a limit. If there was not then I could keep a full grown oscar in a ten gallon as long as I had a constant water change system setup. But that is not the case. You should really rethink things and make sure they are allowed to truly thrive, not just live 'well enough'.

What is your water change schedule? Having a pleco that size in a 90g is too much biolode by himself in my opinion, when you throw in all the other fish you would need a 50% WC every other day to keep the parameters in check.

Post up your water readings..

Funny how the right fish can make a 90 gallon tank look like a 10. I'm glad you are going to upgrade your tanks to much more suitable ones. Your fish will do much better. Good luck.

Wow, your tanks are seriously over stocked. Some of your fish are going to grow as big as your 90g, i wouldn't even consider keeping some of those fish in my 180g. Do you have plans for a 500g+ tank?
