seems I liquified my Cobomba and micro swords were not doing well, went back on nutrifin Plant Gro.

I have had good response with this fert befrore so I went back to it,

I did a 50% WC to rid some excel in the water and then dosed with fert and a little algge killer like 3 drops.

I got Hygrophilia Augustifolia 2 stems / 15 val 4" / 1-5# Java fern 2-2" Java ferns / 1-1" Java Fern / 17inches of money wort / 5 leaves of whisteria the fan one not the oval leaf with little roots / and one small piece with roots of a weird plant I think is ludwiga kinda small and frail looking with a couple roots.

I added 12 ghost shrimp as I count 6-7 of which were females.

I got all the new additions for $6 at a local petco and LFS.

I said to the petco person in the plant tank "if possible I'd love to have some of those left over rubbish loose leaves on top that you would otherwise throw out because they never sell...."

worded just like that lol

I am most happy about the hygro / vals

really sad about my cobomba sp. green

sucks :( I needed ferts it was and I think it had a adverse reaction to the Excel.

So I will cycle out the excel and try 1/4th dose I used before and see if I can tell improvement, if not I will look into DIY C02

pics when tank settles

definitely avoid the excel, as it will not only continue to deteriorate the plants it has, but it will obliterate your vals.

Also.. if the ghost shrimp aren't dead already, don't be surprised if they do. I've never seen an algae killer that was invert-safe.

Hope everything recovers though! Sounds like you got a great mix of plants.

Yea excel is some crazy stuff.... The Bacopa loved it,

micro sword and cobomba was completely toxic.. it just melted in 2 days over weekend... I never even saw it...

I am only dosing plant grow on water change days now,

I am switching air stone over to my 20 gal.
