would i have to change the matrix pebble things?
would i have to change the cell pore cubes ?

i have some of the ceramix rings, but i havent opened them and could still return them, is it worth the little extra work/ money for the cell pore cubes or the matrix things?

any ideas how i can get the new media cycled without causing a spike by removing the established media?

any tips would be appreciated

thanks

I think 5 gallons would be more than enough.

Would you be interested in trading for plants? I have a lot of sunset hygro that needs to be trimmed, also, I could scare up a bit of corkscrew vals or cyypt lutea. Of some baby compacta swords.

Hoping you are into planted tanks!

Sorry have 3 large tanks with over 3wpg and harvest LBs a week myself

And TTman how many?

you dont have to change them just rinse them out with old tank water if they get gunked up

i used the rings before, but if you see the other stuff you will notice how much more surface area there is becuase of all the little holes, but if you dont keep them clean they will just all fill up and be the same as the rings

just take out about a quarter of the old stuff and put the new stuff in and do that once a week until you change everything over. or do it even slower if you wanna be real careful.
