I have a 15' by 15' & 4' deep koi pond with terracing waterfalls that meander over a 15' span which empties into the main pond. It has been up and running for a few years but I made it deeper last spring. Any suggestions for vacuuming out the debris at the bottom of the pond? I have 5 beautiful butterfly koi, and 5 - 3 gallon pots at the pond bottom with water lillies planted in them....they come up bigger and bigger each year. Please be specific about what kind of vacuum equipment you suggest and where to purchase it?

i suggest you hire a small centrifugal pump from your local tool hire place- the kind of hire firm that rents chainsaws, compacters and such.
they do a great job sucking all the crap off the bottom of even the biggest ponds, but they are very $$$ and as you'll only need to use it a few times a year tops, youre better off renting.
sorry i cant be specific but i dont know whats available where you live.
