I'm going to try it out tonight. It's kind of a "lets-see-what-we-have-in-the-kitchen-lets-just-throw-it-all-in" sort of recipe. I'll let you know how it turns out.

INGREDIENTS
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Parsley
  • Orange Juice
  • Celery
  • Frozen Peas
  • Lemon Juice
  • Frozen Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Dried Dill
  • Garlic Powder
  • Paprika
  • Gelatin (to bind it)
  • Dried Oregano
  • Dried Tarragon
  • Basil
  • Relish
  • Water
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix it all up in the food processor, bring it to a boil on the stove, combine with gelatin and let harden in the fridge.

My bettas turned their noses up at it, but my shelldweller & main tank (15g) devoured it in seconds. its a winner! lol

lol i bought some reduced bits at work to do the same thing with so i got
mango
apple
kiwi
plum
broccoli
carrot
sprouts
and a sachet of 'juice' powder made up with 50 fruits and veges.

Fish don't eat vegetables. Sheesh...

really lol? That's funny.

I've been perfecting one for a while, so do you mind helping me with the reasoning of a few ingredients?
-Dill
-Oregano
-Tarragon
-Lemon Juice
-Relish

I can (somehow) see use of all the rest of the ingredients, but these confuse me.

lol, Fish don't eat vegetables.

Might want to try out a meaty recipe for the betta, though that's going to be a bit more tricky. Congrats on the success, those are probably some happy little buggers!

Actually.. I really don't have a reason.. but I'll try lol. I read that you can feed your fish herbs, and I didn't have that many fresh, so I just grabbed a few dried things out of the cabinet. The Lemon Juice... well... I figured I already added some OJ so why not. And the relish... hey, it's a veggie! LOL

interesting...how much gellatin?

1 packet should do the trick.
