This is the situation. i recently purchased a shark egg and placed it in a 30 gal tank to get started, however it hatched that night(i was m oving it so it could aerate better and it hatched in my hand and swam right through between my fingers.....SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME) I wasnt ready for it right then, however, the tank is set up well enought that she(yes, it is a she, brown banded bamboo shark) is doing good so far....we are still working on eating....i am having a little trouble keeping my nitrite level lower, it isnt sky high, but enough that it will begin to affect her in the near future....so i purchased a protein skimmer, pro twin double venturi with dua action...the guy at store said everything i neded was in there, i have never used one before, and the directions are very limited on how the assembly is suppose to go for in the tank... i have it all together but i dont know if i am suppose to just attach the cups sp that water is below the marked line on it and stick it in the tnk or is there more i need to do ......i already know that my little shark is born with about 50% CHANCE OF LIVING OR DYING AS IS...and i am really trying to give her the best start....besides i have to make sure she will tolerate moving into her new 100 gal home before i can transfere her and i know that a 30 is only going to be suffecent for a week or so more due the space they need......if anyone can help me with instructions or pics i would really appreciate it.
