Lady, if you contacy HP customer support (I can give you an email to speed things up) they will send you a restore CD for your system. you'll just need to back up all your info first.

This is one of the many reasons I prefer Macs, they come with software installed, too, but you also get all the discs necessary to re-install everything should something go wrong.
