Wal Mart Fish department??

i have 2 walmarts both about 20 miles away. both sell fish and have better selections than the 1 LFS in my area. getting help there is a different thing entirely as you normally have to hunt someone down to get a fish. most of my more expensive fish come from the forums here and other sites but all my tetras and my green sev came from walmart

Our WM sells them and if you want one you have to ask the lawn and garden guy or the pharmacy clerk. I have bought a few that I liked and were more reasonable in price then others. The key is to know the new fish shipment day to see what available before all the good ones are gone.

the walmart near me got rid of its tanks a long time ago, before the guys in the corporate office told everyone that they would be cutting the fish dept from many of their stores.

the meijer near me is carrying fish though, but its no worse than a normal petsmart or petco

I just went to a Wal-Mart last night looking for fish. There were none, but a clerk at the service desk told me the Wal-Mart SuperCenters sell them. SuperCenters are the Wal-Marts that also include a full grocery. He gave me directions to the nearest SuperCenter and indeed that store was selling live fish. That might not be the case everywhere though. Maybe it is just that way in my town. I wonder which other department stores sell live fish.

I almost want to take a job at my local Walmart's just to run the fish deparments. But I make at least 30 an hour in pt work. Minimum wage won t cut it.
That won't happen. You can't just walk into a place like wal mart and tell them to give you a job for what you want to do. there is no one dedicated solely to working on the fish tanks. period. *sigh* i wish there was though.

my walmart sells fish and the quality is very good and the tanks are well maintained.
