Is it normal for the snails in my tank to wander? we found one on the other side of the room the other morning..

lol

one would suggest a closed tank is needed??????

Snails will go where ever they are able to be honest...i regularly find some of mine above the water level...but, due to the design, thats as far as they can get....

The other side of the room? Wow, must've taken days to get there! I don't know if I'd consider that "normal" but it's somewhat amusing. Like Atnixon's snails, the farthest mine get is just above the water line.

Mine end up in the sump sometimes!!

EEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!!

That's why my wife won't let me get an octopus. She's afraid it will walk upstairs and attach itself to her mouth.

Seriously though, I see mine all over the tank. I have a lid so they can't get out but I've seen them try to get into the protein skimmer outlet, my skimmer box, and even above the waterline below the lid.

lol octos will actually do that lol

I WANT PICS!!!!!

didnt take days actually... would have only been over night..

the tank has a lid, but has the corners cut on an angle so you can have cords and stuff, so i have had to cover them with things for now... others i have just turned around so the corners are over the top of the glass pieces that go across the tank..

Making the hood at the moemnt, so that will make it a bit more tricky for them to get out... :D
