have tried to breed almost every fish i keep. that is almost the reason why i select the fish i select. mouth brooding african cichlids are very interesting and i have done this in a 29 gal but do not recommend it. angelfish could work in a 29 gal. i would suggest learning about fish you are interested in(livebearers, gouramis,central american...) when you pick out a fish your interested in throw that fish in the forum as a question and see what other people say about that fish. good luck their are alot of them out their

Angel would work really well in 29 gallon(and guppies too)I am breeding angels and oscars.
