If you pronounce his name differently it sounds like "Two-pack shaker"
which would be grinder gal with a big a** like in the rap videos--a butt
big enough to stack two six-packs on. Real class, but what do you expect
from a mom who has her baby in prison? Sorry, I'm just really over people
who are glorifying and deifying gangstas, gangbangers, pimps, murderers and drugdealers to the point that our young people think it's THE COOL THING and are just a bunch of wannabes who are too ignorant to know any
better. I see it every freakin' day. I've had more HS students who have
spent time in jail for gun possession, gp in the act of robbery, dealing pot,
coke, crack, vicodin (sp?), various pills, stealing anything they can, assault and battery, and even murder. .. . in their lives, it's strange to NOT have a parole or probation officer.
Sorry, major RANT
I am sorry if this offends anyone. It is not written as a bias against a particular group. (I see it affect white, hispano, and black across the board). I'm just shooting straight from the hip; this is based on living amidst and teaching our young people for 12 years who come from lower-income families, are often raised by a single mom who's working two jobs to keep her family going so she can't supervise what her kids do, or people living on the dole for generations and have no respect or anyone or anything and have such a belief of entitlement!! The hip-hop/rap culture has so adversely affected these kids to the point where they don't understand what it is to work hard, study in school and learn to read and write so they can graduate (we've actually graduated students who can't read--how ridiculous is that?) The guys walk around with their pants LITERALLY around their thighs or at best, under their butts (a fashion started in prisons, signifying that the individual is anyone's b***h), the thuggier, pimp the better. This is not a fad--fads come and go rapidly. This is a trend that started around 15 years ago, and is still going. They use profanity like it was normal language. .. I could go on and on. I am of mixed heritage myself (Indian on both sides, Irish, African, and English). It shrivels my soul to see this just go on and on. . . 50cent is a hero; he's also a murderer. Etc. My freshman classes each year start at over 400; by the time they're seniors, it's diminished to an average of 125. Last year, 25% of then graduating girls were pregnant or had just given birth. 27% of the 17 yearolds who give blood each year are HIV positive. I'm slowly losing my mind. . . . . but I still give my heart. They come to my classroom so they can get a kind word and a hug. I don't know what more to do. . . . .
